CIAT MKTA was founded in 2016 by Peter Kellow, English architect and writer resident in Toulouse, France, and Lara Kopylova, Russian writer and architectural journalist, resident in Moscow.

Together they recognised the need for a global organisation of traditional architecture to consolidate and strengthen what is already a very widespread movement.

With their combined familiarity with present day traditional architecture in both east and west they are well placed to initiate such an organisation and bring together their extensive contacts, east and west, to form a formidible international body.

Peter Kellow

Since 2008, as Communications Secretary for TAG, the Traditional Architecture Group (United Kingdom), he has formed many contacts in the world of traditional architecture and gained a sure understanding of the achievements and possibilities of traditional architecture today. TAG is affiliated with the ICAA, the Institute for Classsical Art and Architecture in America.
